Obituary of Joseph Osyp Jankiwsky

Jankiwsky, Joseph (Osyp): Passed away on Saturday April 3rd, 2010 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Eugenia (Evhenia). Loving father of Moris (Myroslav). Joseph was born in Stebnik, Ukraine on March 30, 1921. Joseph will be sadly missed by his friends, family here and his remaining family in Ukraine. "You've always been a loving and caring person to us and any one else that befriended you. Our memories of you will always remain in our hearts and our prayers.†� Joseph is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Panachyda will take place on Wednesday at 8p.m. in the funeral home. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial remembrances to Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian Fund or to the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
