My thoughts are with all of you, I have just found out about Bryan and can't believe it. Life and soul of the party, loved his garden, loved life, darts and his beer. My Dad can still recall him as if it where yesterday(and me to) in a supermarket in the early days when he first came to Canada asking Anne "Hey anne, are these our spuds"(in a dead broad borrovian accent) ha ha love to you all Debbie (billy and sheila Evans's daughter in the uk)

Dear Susan
My deepest condolences on the passing of your father. The times I spoke with you at Avondale about your father being in the hospital, I never knew you were talking about Bryan.( not knowing your maiden name). I was very shocked when Rick came home today from the funeral and said he had been talking to you and then I put two and two together. Bryan had been in my thoughts alot since I had not seen him in a long time. If I had realized it was Bryan you were speaking of it would have answered my questions and we would have made ever effort to have seen him in the hospital. He was such a wonderful man both Rick and I had alot of respect for him. I use to work in the cafeteria at the Dry Docks and he would always stop and share a story or two and sometimes three, even a cooking tip here and there; like putting a little cabbage in all my soups so they wouldn't burn or stick to the pot. When I started working at Avondale our little chats continued and I always looked forward to those weekly conversations. Rick had alot of respect for Bryan as a supervisor because Bryan was always fair. Rick always loved to hear his stories too.
Again Our Deepest Condolences to you and your family. Nancy Schyff and Rick Pain

Our Deepest Sympathies to Anne, Steven and Sue and all the Kelland Family on the Sad Loss of Bryan. Bryan was a Great guy, always helpful and an inspiration to people, in fact he sort of became our self adopted uncle here in Canada and for that we will always be grateful we would be made welcome at Bryan and Ann's house anytime and would often talk about things (you could always rely on Bryan to tell a good story or two and before you could turn around you would have been there for hours)We both shall miss him greatly. Rest in Peace Bryan Love Brian and Jan..

I for one will miss the big feller. His gentle nature his depth of knowledge of all things. My last memories of him were when sipping a proper pint with him overlooking the Duddon Estuary. We were sat on a bench outside Barrow Golf Club.It was a beautiful clear sunny day. We could see for miles. With a big smile on his face, Bryan said, "this is the life son, isn't it!"
Lynda and I would like to send our deepest sympathy to all family and friends. Although we can't be there in body, rest assured we will be thinking of you all and will be joining you in your sadness and hopefully your good memories as well.
Best wishes to all.
Keith and Lynda. U.K.
