Obituary of Giovanni Colangeli

COLANGELI GIOVANNI Passed away peacefully, at Tufford Nursing Home, on Friday February 19, 2010, at 89 years of age. Beloved husband of Emma. Loving father of Bruno (Kimberley) and Linda (Terry) Howe. Cherished Nonno of Jordan, Alycia and Ryan. Dear brother of Italo (Jean). Predeceased by his sister Gina and brother in law Zopito DiFrancesco. Dear brother in law of Concetta (the late Fiore) Marrone, Antoinetta (the late Umberto) Somma and Josephine (the late Aldo) Somma and many others in Pescara Italy. Giovanni was a founder of Club Roma, and a member of Asociazione Nazionale Combattenti e Reduci. He was employed by the City of St Catharines for 35 years. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church 272 Vine St. on Tuesday at 11:00a.m. The Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Monday at 3:00p.m.Memorial remembrances to the St Catharines General Hospital Foundation or Tender Wishes would be appreciated by the family.
