Obituary of Alfred Seifried

Seifried, Alfred- Passed away peacefully to go to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at the age of 82. Predeceased by his beloved wife Justine (Jutta). Survived by his loving daughters Mitzi and Gundi and her husband Steve. Cherished Opa to Kristen and David. Alfred is also survived by his brother Ludwig and his sister Anna both in Germany. Alfred will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Alfred is also predeceased by his brothers Jakob, Oskar and Hermann. Alfred owned his own home construction businesses, A. Seifried Builders and Long and Seifried Builders Ltd. He was active in the Niagara Home Builders Association, founding and long-time executive member of Club Heidelberg, and a long-time and active member of Grace Lutheran Church. Alfred's family will receive family and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Friday, February 12, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Alfred's life in the Lord will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:30 a.m at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 213 Linwell Rd. Interment to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Haiti Lutheran Mission Society, Lutheran Hour Ministries or the Ontario March of Dimes.
