Obituary of Gina Amendola

Amendola, Gina (nee:D'Alessandro) On Monday January 18, 2010 Surrounded by her loving family at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 71st year. Beloved wife of the late Leonardo Amendola. Loving mother of Annunziato (Alison) Amendola of Iowa, Antonella (Rodney) Tidy of Burlington. Cherished nanna of Richard, Julie, Andrew, Christine, Brandon and Adam. Gina is survived by her sisters Finetta (the late Maurino), Giulia (Pietro), and Anna Maria (the late Cenzino), her brother Franchino D'Alessandro (deceased),Pietro D'Alessandro, she will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and her extended in law family. A special thanks to her in laws Carmen and Vincenzina Amendola and her very close friends for their love and care of our mother. Mrs. Amendola is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visiting hours are Wednesday January 20, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church 272 Vine St. on Thursday January 21, 2010 at 9:30 am. The rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
