Condolences from the Emrick (Melanson) family, Doug, Karen, Deborah and Valerie. I was only six when I first went to Dr. Tortorella and my family and I were patients of his until he retired. A wonderful, gentle person. May memories be a comfort.

I want to extend my condolences to the family and to express the respect I always had for Dr. Tortorella. He was my dentist for over 40 years and I found him to be honest, fair and a very good dentist. He will always be remembered in my heart in a special way. Good deeds are never forgotten.

Hi Karen and Family,
In lieu of flowers, a donation will be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in Fred's memory .
We found out yesterday about Fred's passing via Bonnie's email and didn't know where his body rests. I only found out today searching through the St. Catharines funeral homes listings. All the florists are closed today. We hope you understand.
Best regards and our deepest condolences,
Georgina Jacob (Bonnie's cousin) and family

Condolences to the entire family. We are deeply sorry for your sorrow, Karen, Barbara, Stephanie and Andrew and family.
We had a fun last visit with Fred at little Andrew's birthday party and had a chance to have a good conversation with him at that time. He will be remembered by us as a kind gentleman.
His spirit is in his children and grandchildren and he will continue to live in the sparkle of their eyes.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dr. Fred Tortorella, may you rest in peace.
Georgina (Bonnie's cousin), Michael and Andrew Jacob and Joseph Gazdovic

My mentor of Hope
My deepest sympathy to Dr.'s loved ones. I share your sorrow at this time however grateful for the pleasure and priviledge to have been Dr.'s patient and colleagues until his retirement. He was a Dr. of few words when treating me. Nevertheless when I was 12ish I became very sick with diabetes. I was full of doom and gloom. He told me he too had a chronic illness and it had taught him to live each day to the fullest. Do the best I could to take the best care of me as possible each day. Then use the day as best I could and leave the rest. That was a life altering statement to me. That filled me with hope. He had an illness yet was accomplishing so much. If he could do it, so could I. His obit. informs of his many "Official" accomplishments. Now I'm proud to inform you his advise was part of me everyday, amazingly those days have added up. I'm now 56, feeling successful and happy with my life. I pray all his "Unofficial accomplishments" are also recognized. He and his hygenist Marilyn are both with Jesus this new year. Happy New Year to him with his suffering gone and he at peace. I'm relieved for him and eternally grateful with a beatuiful smile for having known him. Peace be with you

Karen, I am thinking of you and Stephanie and Barbara (and of course the rest of your family) and I want to extend my condolences to you all. I know it has been many years since we have seen each other but I remember you and your lovely girls. Our kids went to the same schools together (Jason/Steph, and Amy/Barbara). I hope the Peace of God will comfort you especially thru the difficult weeks ahead. Lorraine
