Obituary of Mary Swain
Swain, Marie(nee; McCann): On Tuesday December 22, 2009 surrounded by her loving family at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in her 89th year. Loving mother of Susan (Jerry) Cotton of St. Catharines, Tim (Maureen) Swain of Timmins, and Bill (Karin) Swain of Timmins. Cherished grandmama of Kim, Sheri, Tim, Mark, Jeff, James, Scott, Matt, and Sara. and her great grandchildren Katelyn, Tessa, Deirdre, Brenna, Declan, Sawyer, Claire, Ethan, Rosie and Sophie. Marie was the oldest of 6 children, her siblings are Alex (deceased) Rose McCann of Sudbury; Jack and Kathleen McCann of Timmins (deceased); Eva (Bob - deceased) Walker of Peterborough; Joe (Joanne) McCann of Peterborough; Bob (Pat) McCann of Kitchener. Predeceased by her husband Omer (1999).Born in England in 1921, a long time employee of Feldman's Timber in Timmins, she moved to St. Catharines in August 1995, and she had special love for all her cats.
George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines have been entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Swain. As per her wishes, cremation has already taken place and a memorial will take place in Timmins.
