Obituary of Marian Stanclik

STANCLIK MARIAN Passed away peacefully, with the love and support of his family, on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 83 years of age, at Hospice Niagara. Beloved husband of Helen for over 57 years. Loving father of Robert (Sylvia), Richard (Diane) and Janet. Dziadek will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Christopher, Kristina, Tara (David), Katharyn, Steven, Connie, James and Michelle. He is survived by his many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother and sister in Poland. Marian was a WWII veteran serving in the Polish Army under the command of General Anders. He was a retired employee of General Motors of Canada, a member of the Polish Canadian Legion, Branch 418 for 50 years and a parishioner of Our Lady of perpetual Help Church. Marian is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
