My grandma and Katherine's great grandma was a lively woman with a zest for life. She loved to put on her little red shoes and jacket and she was ready to go. It didn't matter where - she just like to go. She loved to sing and draw, her kitchen was always welcoming and the centre of the home. In all my life it is the only home I have always been able to go back to (our family moved a few times)and can remember lots of visiting here as a child.
Grandma loved her cats and the birds in her backyard and enjoying nature. She loved her family most of all and we have all shared in that love and support over the years.
These last few years have not been the best for Grandma as she struggled with Alzheimers. Yet through it all her loving family stepped in to see that Grandma was taken care of. On behalf of our family I want to publicly thank my aunts and uncles for taking care of Grandma and providing her with the best quality of life possible.
As the eldest grandchild I have a lifetime of memories of Grandma. I loved to listen to stories from when she was a young girl. When she came to Saskatoon we stayed up late talking about our lives. All three cats sat on her lap to listen as well. Cats always knew they had a friend in Grandma.
My Grandma was a dear and special lady. I will always treasure the many wonderful memories.

We are with you all in spirit! This is to our wonderful Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, friend and confidant.
A great humanitarian who always put others before self especially her children for whom she always wanted only the best. She rejoiced in the the happiness of those around her. The warmth of her brightness will be sadly missed. No greater love was ever felt than that which her famiy gave back to her. We express our heartfelt feelings of gratitude to all those family members who gave so unselfishly of themselves in what turned out to be a very long struggle. In the afterglow of a really amazing lifetime of achievmnts Mom's bright spirit will live on in our hearts forever, as it will in all who knew her.
Now we celebrate her life as she would want us to. Now she continues her journey to a special place which God has reserved for her to spend all eternity.

Dear Quait family,
I am sad to hear of your mom's passing but smiling at the great legacy she has left behind in each of you. I remember the comings and goings of the many Quait siblings, the pet cats, the baked pies and homemade fudge, the many flowers and shrubs out back and the toy room in the basement. Years after I left Niagara, I would receive snippets of news of new grandchildren and great grandchildren and the long life that your mother had. She was a remarkable woman!! I have thought of her many times over the years and always with a big grin. She had such zest for life and for her family. I know you will miss her. Please know that she had a positive impact on so many people! 91 years! Your mother was amazing! I am thinking of you and toasting your mom tonight.
Sincerely,
Sandra Berg

Dear Quait Family,
I'd like to express my most sincere condolences in the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. I remember her as a spirited lady with a zest for living and undeniable love and devotion for her children and grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humour and could take a good joke and give one in return. Her life was full and rich with love. Her family, the people who meant the most to her were always present for her as she was for them. She was protective and devoted. Whenever I was visiting I knew I'd find some freshly made apple pie, made from scratch of course. Her specialty. To date, I haven't been able to recreate it or find it elsewhere. I have many fond and loving memories of this loving and kind lady. It saddens me to know she is gone. Please accept my sincere sympathy in your loss and know I am thinking of you all during this very difficult time.
With Sincere Sympathy and Love,
Rhonda
