Please accept my condolences. I knew Bill through his fund raising involvement and affiliation with the Niagara Child Development Centre and its Foundation. He was a great mentor and always demonstrated how a keen awareness and genuine interest in people paves the way to achieving far reaching goals. I enjoyed his humour, as well as his candour, and will be forever thankful for having had the privilege of knowing W. Scott Thompson. May he rest in peace.

Lynda, I met Dad while serving as a student intern at Hayes Dana back in 1970. Upon graduation he contacted their advertising agency and I was hired immediately. He was a great mentor and I will never forget his patience and sincerity. It has been said "there is no better exercise for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up" this is what Bill did. He did it often, and he did it well! A true gentleman who cared about people and provided inspiration for all us who knew him. He was one in a million!

Lynda and John, you are in our thoughts and prayers. So sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Bill from when I firs came to St. Catharines in 1968. He was always a real gentleman and very much involved in helping others in our community. He will be sorely missed by many, many people. God Bless. Chuck and Judy Smith

Mr. "T" was a secial friend and mentor. He was a member of the Board of Directors when I was the Founding Executive Director of The St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation from 1986 to 1998. In the early days he was my mentor and taught me about the complexities of hospital and governmental politics. Knowing I often worked late he would call me in the evenings and after discussing the latest happenings of the Foundation, we somehow always ended up discussng local, provincial and federal politics. He would rant and then he would laugh about his ranting. He unfailingly asked about my family and spoke lovingly of his. He told me many stories of his time in the air force and early career. He was a man of integrity and humour.
He will be greatly missed. This community is poorer for having lost a fine man. Margaret A. Cyr

I extend my deepest condolence to all of Bill's family. Just wanted you to know how well I remember the invaluable help Bill and Joe West gave us during the fund-raising for the Niagara Child Development Centre Building Campaign and forever after. Bill was always so positive and a wonderful cheerful cheerleader. They helped us get our materials all in order to raise our profile and then just kept pressing the point that fund-raising was always personal, just ask for the money personally. Only have the social things for the fun of it, but for the fund-raising, just go and ask for it personally. Bill was the perfect personification of the personal approach and I have never forgotten him or his time-honoured approach. He also got us some of the most beautiful office furniture, desks, credenzas etc. probably using his personal touch. I always appreciated his visits to check up on us and will never forget him.
With my sincere sympathy and appreciation for a life well-lived,
Connie Costanzo
