Obituary of Margaret Walker

Walker Margaret- Peacefully on Monday November 9, 2009 in her 101st year, at Albright Manor, Beamsville. Margaret was born in Dunnville, Ontario on August 2, 1909.Beloved wife of the late Harold William "Joe" Walker (1986) who was a former Mayor for the City of Welland and a Member of the Provincial Parliament of Ontario ( M.P.P.) Margaret was a member of the Rebecca Lodge. Loving mother of Mary I. Wilson ( Bruce) of St. Catharines, Dr. W.J. (Bill) Walker of London, Ontario, Muriel McGarry of Welland and Donald Walker (Linda) of St.Catharines. Dear grandmother of Margo Crosby (Jamie) of London, Ont., Dr. Diane Warner (Dr.Simon) of Vancouver B.C., Gray McGarry of St.Catharines, Mark Wilson (Susan) of Elora, Ontario, Dr.Katharine Olson (Dr. Michael) of Glasgow, Scotland, Peter McGarry of Welland (2008), John S. Walker of St. Catharines, David Wilson of Toronto, Garth Walker (Jennifer) of Newmarket, Ont., Blake Walker (Siobain) of London, U.K. and great grandmother of thirteen. Sister of Mazie Holinaty of Burlington. Margaret was predeceased by her parents John and Catharine Manley, her sisters Cathleen Kvikne, Betty Bickle, Violet Zimmerman, Helen White and her brother William. Also, a son in law, David McGarry and Grandson Peter McGarry of Welland. The family would like to thank the staff at Albright Manor for the tender care extended to our mother. Arrangements entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Albright Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
