Obituary of Charles Prada

Prada, Charles: Unexpectedly at home on October 15, 2009 at the age of 78. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Bernice. Adored father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Father of the Late Ricky (1981), Paula (Dean) Silta, Susan (Crito) Bernard, Christopher (Lisa), Gerard and Peter (Anne). Grandfather (Pappy) to Danielle, Josh, Katelyn, Lise, Mia, Brendan, Jaime, Richie, Jenna, Shannon and Jordan. Brother to the late Geoffrey and Mona, survived by his sisters Lisa and Cora. Charles was born in Trinidad and moved his family to Canada in 1973. Worked at Fleet Industries, Pereira's Cycle, Microfurnace, and White Oaks. Member of the St. Catharines Cathedral Church. Charles will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; he was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed cooking, spoiling his grandchildren, going on walks and spending time with his family. Although his life was shattered when he suddenly lost his wife Bernice tragically in 2006. Charles still managed to enjoy and appreciate his loved ones. Charles is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines Visiting hours are Sunday October 18, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Church on Monday October 19, 2009 at 11 :00a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
