Please accept my condolences for this most unhappy event. I just heard -- I was contacted by Rick Rice, an old friend of Bruce's, who retired to Victoria a year after Bruce. I haven't seen him in years....although he DID come to Sid Barnard's 80th birthday celebration a few years back. Just as Bruce was active in his chapter of the CBC Pensioners' Association, so have I become quite active in the North-Central Ontario chapter, as President. I've been retired for four years now, living in Eagle Lake, Ontario -- about 14 minutes northwest of the village of Haliburton. There are so many Bruce Cordner stories, I don't know where to begin. Maybe I'll wait until I see you to discuss them.
Kindest Regards,
Terry Walker

Very sorry to hear about this. Bruce was one of the first people I met when I started with CBC TV news in 1962..and we worked together for many years. Lori I wonder if you remember the time he sent me up to cover you frying marbles. It was a crazy story and Bruce and I were soundly reprimanded for covering a story about an emplyees spouse...but it was fun anyway.

Such a good friend for so many years...such a happy-go-lucky trouble-maker. We shared the good times and the bad times and I am now more alone than ever.
G'bye, Bruce. Thanks for sharing with me.
Hugs to you, Lori

Dear Lorraine and family:
My sincere condolences on the passing of a dear husband and father. I only knew Bruce through our mutual interest in Port Dalhousie. He was truly dedicated to all he involved himself in. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Lorraine and Family. It was such a shock to hear of the sudden passing of Bruce. I know he provided an invaluable volunteer presence to the Port Dalhousie Community and he will be missed. I remember the wonderful laughs we all had when the annual Corporate Challenge was at Lakeside Park and how you and Bruce were so kind to welcome me back to the community after being away for a few years. I have no doubt you have many fun memories to help you through these difficult times. All the best, Lesley and the Seaborne Clan. :)
