Obituary of Barbara Eckhardt

ECKHARDT, Barbara (nee Wood) Passed away at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Thursday, September 24, 2009, after a short battle with cancer. Beloved wife, for 61 years to the late Bruce (April 2009). Loving mother of Brian (Ruth) and Diane Eckhardt (Terry Sharkey). Cherished grandmother of Jonathan (Zendra), Rebekah (Jeremy), David, and great grandmother of Isabella, Brayden and Tristan. Barbara is survived by her brother Donald (Glenda) Wood of Ottawa. A special thank you to Jo-Ann (her cousin), Helen and Rasha (psw's) who lovingly helped with her care, also to Barbara's friends and family for their support. In accordance with Barbara's wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
