Obituary of Madge Elsie O'Neill

O'Neill, Madge (nee: Newton) Peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Eric O'Neill. Loving mother of Judith (Bill Young), Priscilla Pickett (David), Micheal (Sharon), Christopher (Janice), Peter. Cherished grandma of Jennifer, Colleen and Sean, and great grandma of Paige and William. Madge is survived by her nephews Peter, Jeremy, and niece Jennifer. She is predeceased by her parents George and Elsie Newton, and her brothers Guy and Theo Newton. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to their brother Peter for all his time and care of our wonderful mother, as well as the family wish to thank Dr. Dang, Dr. Hartman, and Dr. Sourouvtserva, and all the nurses on the 6th floor and 3C east of the St. Catharines General Hospital, with special thanks Dr. Brook for their time and care. Mrs. O'Neill was resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A private funeral service was held with interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances made to Covenant House or the Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
