Obituary of Luisa Falzoi
FALZOI, Luisa - It is with great sadness that the Falzoi family announces the passing of Luisa on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 with her loving family by her side at the Niagara on the Lake Hospital-NHS, in her 86th year. Beloved wife and best friend of Lorenzo. Loving mother of Nello and his wife Anna, Gavino and his wife Dennise, and Maria and her husband Tony Mazzuca. Cherished Nonna of Jeremiah, John, Sarah, Marc, Lorenzo and Annalisa. A special thank you to Dr. Luigi Ricciardi and the much appreciated staff at the Niagara on the Lake Hospital for their care and devotion towards Luisa. She will be deeply missed by her sister Lia ( Sebastiano) and brothers Antonio (Tonina) all of Sardegna and her brother Giovanni of France. She is survived by brothers in law Tonino (the late Giovanna) and Mario (Antonietta) of Rome, Italy and sisters in law Peppina ( Giovanni Maria) and Piera ( The late Elio ) from Sardegna, sister in law Gavina (the late Pietro) of France and sister in law Lorenza of Belgium. We know our beloved Luisa will be reunited in Heaven with her parents Giuseppe Ozzana and Gavina Melone, her brothers Giuseppe and Francesco and especially her sister Maria Antonia Ozzana who she missed deeply and with whom she shared a very special bond. Luisa was very devoted to Mother Mary and was very dedicated to praying the Rosary daily. She also loved to sew, bake her special Sardinian cookies and was a great cook. Nonna loved to watch her grandchildren play hockey, soccer and figure skating. Luisa loved to entertain her family and friends and her home was always full of life and enjoyment. We will truly miss her. "Riposa in Pace e Dio Ti Benedica". Mrs. Falzoi is resting at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m.Vigil prayers will take place on Friday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St. on Saturday at 9:30a.m. Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
