I only knew Gary for about 6 years and most of that was in an arena somewhere playing the game he loved. All you had to do was watch him play and you could see it. It didnt matter if you played on the same team or against him,.....it was always fun.
From the first time I met him he made me feel like we had known each other all our lives
He was a good teamate and friend.
I will miss your smile, your stories and the way you made me laugh.
Hockey and life in general without Gary will never be the same for me.
Keep your head up "Bummer"

I remember how much Gary helped me when I was in trouble. He was always loyal to me as a stepdad and I didn't say it too much but I love him like a father. He made beautiful renovations in our houses and always found a way to make ends meet. As a teenager he saw me go through many phases and though I was very tempermental he was always gentle loving and kind.
I missed Gary and only saw him only briefly after my mum and him split up. But I wondered what he was doing and would've loved to talk with him. Gary is a part of my childhood, a part of my history. I remember his essence and I cherish him deeply.
Wish we could talk

My heartfelt condolences to Tami, Mario, and Ella Presley Torelli; Donna, Al, Jason and Grant Muzzell; Connie, Jay, Jessica and Meghan Greavette. I love you guys.
Dorsey and Irma... I remember, and I love you too.
Pretty sure Dorsey's waiting with the remote and a game's on, or The Three Stooges. If TV's on in Heaven, it's always Saturday night hockey or Sunday afternoon golf and football for the guys. Irma will be waiting beside a huge pot of the most enormous red geraniums you ever saw, and a roast in the oven, or those peanut butter rice krispie things. I imagine them looking great in Heaven, Irma made everything look beautiful, I think that's where Gary got his fashion sense from. Gary's there with them, cracking jokes. Billy and Gail are there, filling up the room with laughter and love. Billy's got a few jokes up his sleeve too, betcha.
Diane, I cry with you.
Sharon, long time friend of Gary, I am so sorry for your loss. May your memories be always a comfort to you until you see him again.
Gary, we miss you.... love from Brendan, Bridget, and Sheila.
"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained too deeply for mirth and song; as the burdens press, and the cares distress, and the way grows weary and long?
O yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief;...When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Saviour cares.
Does Jesus care when my way is dark with nameless dread and fear? As the daylight fades into deep night shades, does He care enough to be near?
O yes He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief;...When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Saviour cares.
Does Jesus care when I've tried and failed to resist some temptation strong; when for my deep grief I find no relief, though my tears flow all the night long?
O yes He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched by my grief;...When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Saviour cares.
Does Jesus care when I've said goodbye to the dearest on earth to me, and my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks - is it aught to Him? Does He see?
O yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief;...when the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Saviour cares....He cares."
