Obituary of Patsy Kazragis

Kazragis, Mary Patricia (Patsy O'Hearn): Surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday July 22, 2010, at Hospice Niagara, at the age of 58. Beloved wife and friend of Vytas for more than 30 years. Loving mother of Bryan (Amanda), Michael (Katie) and Mary Kate. Dearly loved daughter of Molly and Nip O'Hearn, daughter in law to Joseph and Juzefa Kazragis, special sister to Pixie (Bob) Ziraldo, Danny (Debbie) O'Hearn, Erin (Michael) Wilson, and Kate (Matt) Hingston, sister in law to Roman (Colleen) Kazragis, loving aunt to Molly, Danny, Allie Ziraldo, Megan and Patrick O'Hearn, Emily and Christopher Wilson, Madelline, Donald, Annabelle, and Charlotte Hingston. She will be sadly missed by her aunts and many cousins. A Port Dalhousie girl, born and raised, she spent her childhood at Lakeside Park and became a Lakeside Majorette. Patsy spent many summers at Camp Wa-sa-ah-bun as a camper, counsellor, and director. She attended Denis Morris High School, then Niagara College, and Brock University, after which she toured as a professional skater for 5 years with Holiday on Ice. She continued her love for skating as a coach with the Merritton Figure Skating Club and N.O.T.L Figure Skating Club for 23 years. After retiring from skating, she became the Manager and Owner of Pen Press 2. She was never far from the rowing scene as she loved her association with rec rowing. Patsy's family invite you to join them for visitations at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines, on Saturday July 24, 2010 from 7-9 p.m., and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. With the Funeral Liturgy being held on Monday July 26, 2010 at Star of the Sea Church (Port Dalhousie) at 11a.m. Vigil prayers will be said Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial remembrances made to Hospice Niagara, Portstock, and Star of the Sea Church would be appreciated by the family. Patsy's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Staff at Hospice Niagara and her many friends for their time, love and support.
