Even though we met Gary not long ago, it feels like we have known him for a lifetime. For us, it only took a moment to know that we had met a great man. We were honoured to call him our friend. He left a great impression on our son Ryker whom will never forget Gary and his youthful wit.
We are thankful that we had the honour to meet Gary.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Rest in peace, Gary.

Too many.....too few!!
Lots of stories, so many but space is limited. Simply: Lake Erie cottage days, never caught any fish but still some of my fondest memories just Gary and I and the invisible fish..... We had great times most recently at the trailer, fished on the Grand River, never caught any fish there either but he sure captained a great ship!! Never ever will we forget last summer at a party at Cherie and Mike's. Gary, tired of cars not stopping at the stop sign outside their house decided he would set up shop and scare the culprits. He sat himself down on a lawn chair with camera in hand and pretended to be taking pictures of the cars that didn't stop. He sure created a stir with the drivers and gave everyone there a memory to last a lifetime, we still laugh about it to this day, gotta love him! We were looking forward to so many more but will cherish the memories we have forever.

Gale, Jen, Jimmy and Cherie:
Andy and I were deeply saddened by the news of Gary, there is nothing that I can say that will ease your burden, but know that we are thinking of you all. We have such wonderful memories of time spent with you all.
I can still hear Gary singing "I Hear a Melody"!

My deepest sympathies to you at this time and wishing you all strength in the days to come. It just seems such a short while ago that we were together laughing into the wee hours of the morning and becoming such experts in the field of 'Trivia'. My thoughts will be with you on Tuesday as you celebrate the life of your best friend, father and Grandfather. As always, in my prayers, love Shannon.

Music
I remember when Jennifer and I first moved into Mom and Dad's house to try and save money for our own place, and one day I wanted to play a cd of mine by the Grateful Dead. I asked Dad if I caould play it, and he said that I could, just not to loud.
After the first couple of songs he asked who it was and what the album was called.
I do believe he went out the next day and bought a copy of his very own. That is a good memory....there are many.
I will miss you Dad,
Your son-in-law, Chris.
