Obituary of Michal Kartasinski

KARTASINSKI, Michal Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Welland County General Hospital, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Stanislawa (1998). Loving father of Zygmunt (Beverly), Susan and Peter (Linda) and dear uncle of Peter Pietras. Special Dziadzi of John (Carm), Michael (Kari-Lyn), Connie (Anthony), Pamela (Claude), Andrea (Stephen), Christian (Michelle) Cherished Great-Dziadzi of Debby, Casey, Aaron, Kassidy, Ryan, Rebecca, Anthony and Andrew. Predeceased by his son-in-law Walter Wach (2007) and his granddaughter Terry (2007). Michal was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for many years and he was also a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Branch 418. A visitation for Michal's family and friends will be held on Monday, May 24 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. Vigil prayers will take place on Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St., on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
