My love and prayers go out to you all at this difficult time.
Reta was my mother-in-law and a mother figure to me and she
and Henry will always have a special place in my heart.
I have many cherished memories of times gathered as a family.
Reta's stories and her sense of humor were always something to
look forward to. I remember she would make bananna bread just for me
because she knew how much I loved how she made it. Lessons on making
meat pie, playing cards, or when the violin would come out and by the
end of the evening all cheeks were rosy and all eyes sparkling - and
not from the wine - but from the feeling of warmth of belonging.
Reta was a talented woman with a heart of gold, shot straight from the hip.
Over the years we lost touch but I have always kept her close to my
heart. May God keep her and may our memories give us peace.

Margie and I are extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Reta. Rarely a day goes by when I don't think of Reta, as Margie and I live on Cambria Drive, across from where Henry and Reta lived for many years. There were many instances when I played little tricks on Reta and Henry either by telephone or at the door. Their reactions were always priceless. Our thoughts are with all the family. Dennis.
