Obituary of Stan Skrok

SKROK, Stan - Passed away peacefully at the age of 65 in his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Thursday December 22, 2011. Stan was the treasured husband and close companion of his beloved wife Stasia during 42 years of marriage. Loving father of Loretta (Reid Ozon), Stasia (Troy Young), Chuck (Laurie) and Paula (Dave DiGaetano). Cherished Grandfather of Brianna, Jacob, Sophia and Charles. Stan will always be in our hearts and memories as well as in the heart of his sister Connie (Bob) Donlon and will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be fondly remembered by many friends from his more than 40 years of service at DOFASCO, and many rounds of golf in the Hamilton/Niagara area. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday December 27th from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 11- 12:45. A celebration of Stan's life will be held at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Donations can be made to Canadian Blood Services. Stan was a consistent donor and more recently, recipient of their services.
