Obituary of Doreen Monaghan

MONAGHAN, Doreen (nee Martin) August 23rd, 1937 - April 9th, 2013 Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9th, 2013 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Beloved wife of 55 years of the late John (2004). Cherished Mom of Lynne (Gary) Charnock and John (Julie), of England. Adored Nan of Ross (Michelle), of Australia, Kaylee (Spencer), and Ria, of England. Dear sister of Connie (the late Alan), of England, and sister-in-law of Jean (the late Jim), Marion (Clark), of the United States, and Joe (Sue), of Wales. Doreen will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and many friends that her life has touched over the years. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff on 7 West, Neuro floor, at the Hamilton General Hospital for their compassion and support. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Doreen's Life will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Saturday, April 13th, at 12 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Monastery of Mount Carmel or the Hamilton Neuroscience Program would be appreciated.
