Obituary of Lino Frisani
FRISANI Lino - Died peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2013, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Casoli di Atri on Nov 18, 1935, Lino immigrated to Canada in 1955.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Mary (Moretti), and his children Anthony (Yarlene), Teresa (Brian) Winckler, and Linda (Pete) Marconi. Loving Papa to Alicia, Lucas, Danielle, Adam, Andrea and Maya. Dear brother in law of Domenico Battistini of Italy and Jewel Frisani, Frank and Irene Moretti of Florida, Vito and Stella Moretti, Anna and John Del Ben, Grace and Franco Rosso all of London. Loving Zio to many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by parents Antonio and Marina Frisani, in-laws Michele and Teresa Moretti, brothers Peter and Iginio Frisani, sister Giulia Battistini.
Lino was employed by Unico Foods for 40 years, and was a long time member of Club Roma. His passions included family, friends, gardening and cooking.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday January 16, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday January 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m at St. Alfred's Church.
In accordance to his wishes cremation will take place with a private family inurnment to take place at a later date. If desired, donations to The Kidney Foundation or the Cardiology Unit at the new St. Catharines Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
