Obituary of Etta Higginson-Chalmers

HIGGINSON-CHALMERS, Helen "Etta" In the arms of the angels, may she find peace. With great sadness we share the passing of Etta surrounded by her family at Hotel Dieu-Shaver Hospital on January 1, 2013. Loving wife of Jack Higginson. Etta will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Lynn McIntyre-Enns (Ron), Jacquie McLellan (Richard), Brenda Bousfield and son David Chalmers (Alison). Dearly missed by her grandchildren David McCulloch, Lorri Cadeau (Phil), Michelle Busher (Keith), Brett & Taylor Bousfield, Jacob, Jamee and Jonny Chalmers. Special GG to Brynn, Lily and Aydan Rose. Second mother to Jay Higginson (Sandra) and Darlene Higginson (John). Daughter of Nellie and the late George Acker. Dear sister of Marg Blanchard (Wally), Betty Campbell, Bill Acker (Bev). Missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband John Chalmers. In keeping with Etta's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Saturday, January 5th from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society or Dr. J. Turnbull ALS Research Clinic, MUMC, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
