Obituary of Zofia Jablecki
JABLECKI, Zofia (Dobrucki)
Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 8th, 2012 in her 93rd year. Zofia was born in Boryslaw, Wolyn, Poland on April 12, 1920, surviving the invasion of Poland on February 10, 1939 and sent to Siberia. Zofia was the beloved wife of Jozef (1992). Much loved mother of Richard (Pauline) of Stratford, Halina (Brian) Budd of Niagara Falls, Lydia (Farrokh) Kooka of St. Catharines and Irene (David) Hogan. Babcia will be fondly remembered for her love of family, cooking & gardening by her grandchildren Jennifer, Laura, Melissa (Warren), Melanie (Chad), Richard, Michael (Stephanie), Alicia, Joseph, Steven, and Kelsey; also great-grandma of seven. Zofia is also survived by her brothers Joseph and Adolph (Ruth), her sister Elenora Wiencek and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, one sister, and two brothers. The family would like to thank CCAC/Paramed, especially Kim, Karen and Zofia for all the care and compassion given to our mother. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Tuesday, December 11th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, December 12th at 11am with Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
