Obituary of Vasyl Fedorovyc Chyzhyk

Chyzhyk, Vasyl - Passed away peacefully in the presence and in spirit of his family on Friday November 3, 2017 at Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 90 years. Loving husband for 59 years to Rosalia (nee Mordatenko). Loving Papa to Galina (Andrei) Arvinte and the late Alexander (Nadia). Cherished Dedushka to Cassidy, Oleksiy and Andrei. Will be fondly remembered by many loving family members and close friends.Vasyl was a veteran of WWII. He loved to spend time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He was also an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. 

Family and friends are invited to gather at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday between 9:30 am to 11 am. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 am with a reception to follow. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery after reception. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Niagara - Stabler Centre or Greater Niagara General Hospital in Vasyl's honour.
