Nora De Luca

Obituary of Nora Constance De Luca

After a brief illness, on February 21st Nora joined her parents, her beloved brother Gabriel, and her cousin Robert. Known for her devotion to her faith, her generosity, and her wonderful sense of humour, Nora will be missed by all those who had a chance to know her. She kindled a love of reading in many children during her career as a librarian, and travelled the world in her summers off. She is survived by her cousin and best friend Angela, her niece Danielle Moubarak (Georges) and great-nephews William and Nicholas, her nephew Stephen DeLuca, her cousin Judy Casciato, her nephew John Casciato (Aimee) and their children Amalia and Daniel, and her niece Andrea Casciato (Adam Elliott) and their children Alex and Mia. Thank you to the friends and extended family who have been a support over the past two months during Nora’s illness, and the staff at Hospice Niagara.

Visitation will be at George Darte Funeral Home on Monday February 26 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, with vigil prayers at 7pm.

Funeral Mass to be held at St Denis church on Tuesday February 27 at 11am. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

Donations welcome to CNIB, Hospice Niagara or a Mass donation to St Denis Catholic Church in lieu of flowers.
