After a long and courageous battle, Settimio passed away peacefully in his 71st year on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Beloved Husband and best friend of Anna Maria for 44 years. Loving Papa to Maria (Paul) and Mario (Deanna). Cherished Nonno to Bianca and Camilla. Settimio will be dearly missed by his siblings Ada, Pietro, Mario and Giuseppe and their families in Italy and Switzerland. He will also be missed by his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Carm (John), Carla (Dan), Ignazio (Tina), Tony (Carol), Lisa (Mike), Johnny, Valentino (Angel) and Rosalia (Sean) and their families. Predeceased by his parents Nicola and Maria and his in-laws Giovanni and Rosina Boccia. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers taking place at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. An Entombment will follow mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation.
