Obituary of Hazel Foote

FOOTE, Hazel It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Hazel at the age of 82 on Thursday June 23, 2016 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Hazel was born in Stockport, England on May 11, 1934. Loving mother of Rob (Jill), Chris (Elizabeth), Kathy (Malcolm) Maynard, Dean (Pam), and Scott (Tricia). Much loved grandmother to Kelly, Chris, Ashley (Jordon) Nault, Mackenzie, Stephanie, Amanda, Daniel, Taylor and Nicole. Great-grandmother to Dane and Avery Nault. Hazel is also survived by her beloved sister Lillian and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her sister Jean. Former wife of Bill Foote. Hazel had a plenitude of careers over the years. She had very fond memories of her time at the Anchorage Hotel and at Chateau Gardens in Niagara-on-the-Lake. She also owned and operated Hazel's Luncheonette in St. Catharines. Her last and most fulfilling career was with Comcare as a travelling home health care worker. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Monday, June 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Hazel's life will take place on Tuesday, June 28 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
