Obituary of Myrel Burman

BURMAN MYREL ISABELLE (nee MacDonald) Peacefully, at home on Thursday, June 14, 2001, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, in her 78th year. For fifty seven years, beloved wife of Ralph Joseph Burman. Loving mother of Marilyn Burman and her husband Graham Love of St. Catharines, Paul Burman and his wife Sandi of Winona and Beverly Burman of Creemore. Grandmother of Christopher Love, LAne and Jordan Burman, great grandmother of Kailey. Survived by her brother Harold MacDonald (Loretta) of Ottawa and her loving nephew and nieces. Myrel was an avid sportswoman all her life and was an active member of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club for over 40 years where she has won many trophies for both golf and curling. Myrel also skipped teams that won both the Senior and Diamond Senior Southern Ontario curling championships. A memorial service will be held at St. Columba Church, 7 St. Columba Dr., St. Catharines, on Monday June 18th at 11 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Children's Discovery Centre of Niagara (360 Niagara St. St. Catharines, L2M 4 W1) would be appreciated by the family.
