Obituary of Marianna Travisano

TRAVISANO, Marianna (Miele) Peacefully surrounded by her family at the St.Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday April 21, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of Francesco for 51 years. Survived by her sister Elena (Ulderico 1979) Acocella and joins her sister Rosa (1986) Antonio Celetti and brother Antonio (2000)and Bianca (2006) Miele as well as her step sister Maria (Angelo) Paternostro. She will be missed by her loving sister and brother in laws in Italy: Concetta, Carmela, Giovanni, Rocco, Vito, Donato and the late Pasqualina (1985) and family.She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews and their children whom she treated as her own. Marianna loved animals especially stray cats which adopted into her home. Marianna is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visiting hours are Friday April 23, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St. at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday April 24, 2010. The rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home Friday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial remembrances made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
