Obituary of Frank Raymond Schreiner

Schreiner, Frank Raymond. - Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2009 at St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 83. Loving husband of Theresa for 62 years. Cherished father of Bryan (Mai) Schreiner of Saskatoon, SK, Brenda (Jim) Moriarty of Burlington ON and Barb (Joe) Howard of St. Catharines. Devoted Grandfather to Mark (Marianne) Schreiner of Johannesburg SA, Kristen Schreiner of Whitehorse YK (David), Ian Moriarty (Adrienne) of Burlington ON, Amy Horton (Jeff) of Oakville ON and Brianna Howard of St. Catharines. Proud great-grandfather of Leah Moriarty.Frank and Theresa came to St. Catharines from Humboldt SK on their honeymoon and decided this was the place to make their future together. Over the next 35 years Frank became well known in the roofing and home renovation business for the craftsmanship of his work and pride for a job well done. Frank retired in 1982 and delighted in spending time with his family and traveling with Theresa. Frank will be remembered for his warm smile and devotion to family and friends, and a very special fondness for his 5 grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Heatherwood Retirement Residence for their compassion and help. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 316 Queenston Street at 10:00 AM, Wednesday July 15, 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation would be deeply appreciated by the Family.
