Obituary of Milton McIsaac

McIsaac, Milton (Milt): At his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday April 1st, 2010, in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Donna (nee: Blackley). Loving father of Michael (Tammy), Scott (Tracey), and Shawn (Katherine). Cherished Grandpa of Kevin, Craig Thomas, Adam, and Sam. Milt is survived by his mother Edna (Ciss) McIsaac, brothers Byron (Marilyn) of St.Albert, Alberta, and Michael Craig of St. Catharines, his Aunt Elizabeth (Bobby) Walker and Uncle Cyril (Augie) and Annette Handley, mother in law Dorothy Blackley, sisters in law Rosalynda, Barbara, Colleen (Harvey), and brothers in law Leonard and Keith (Karen), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins both in Niagara and Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his father Michael, and sister Edwina Locey. Other than his family, the other loves of his life include the Navy, in which he served from 1958 - 1963, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs, golfing and we can't forget his fishing. Milt retired from General Motors in 1995, and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 where he ran the pool league until he was no longer able. Milt remained positive throughout a number of illness and always enjoyed life to the fullest and never allowed it to take his spirit. He will be dearly missed. Milt's Family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the C.C.A.C. especially Jill, Eleanor, Dorsey and Barbara, the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and Dr. Whitty, for all their care and love of Milt. George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. McIsaac. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday April 7, 2010. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria on Thursday April 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Vigil prayers will be said in the funeral home on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the C.C.A.C.
