Obituary of John Peterson

PETERSON, John - Passed away after a brief illness on Thursday March 18, 2010 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 79th year. Beloved husband of 58 years to Adelia. Loving father of Eric (Kim), Janet (Wayne) Hills and Chris Peterson. Nonno of Jenna, Whitney, Kayleigh, Matthew, Jordan and Dawson. Brother-in-law of Inez Castellan, Leah Sima, Deva (Don) Uguccioni and Rupert Gagnon. John will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Sunday March 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Niagara on the Lake on Monday March 22 at 10:30 a.m. with cremation to follow. If so desired, donations made to the Niagara Health System Oncology Dept. or the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
