Obituary of Peter William deVries

deVries, Peter- Was taken to the Lord on Tuesday, March, 9th, 2010 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Wilma. Cherished father of Grace, Debbie (Ray) and William (Janet). Special grandpa of Carissa, Shane, Justin, Nathan, Andrea, Peter, Alicia, Sarah and Jonathan. Great grandpa of Lily, Mason, Anneke and Leah. Peter immigrated to Canada in 1953. He was an employee of the City of St. Catharines for 36 years. He was an active member of the Trinity Christian Reformed Church. Peter was an avid gardener, soccer fan and Pigeon fancier. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. The family will receive visitors at the Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 1230 Old Martindale Road, St. Catharines on Wednesday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A private interment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. A Memorial Service will take place at Trinity Christian Reformed Church on Thursday at 11: 30 a.m. Memorial donations to Beacon Christian Schools would be appreciated by the family.
