Obituary of Robert Douglas Wilson

WILSON, ROBERT DOUGLAS It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bob on Saturday, February 27, 2010, in his 55th year. By his side throughout his struggle, have been his sisters, Deborah Lewis and her husband Kelly and Karen DeLisio and her husband Renzo. Uncle Bob†™s incredible sense of humor will always be remembered by his nieces and nephew Christina, Angela and Anthony DeLisio. Predeceased by his parents William (Bill) Wilson in 1979 and Mary (Mae) Wilson in 1988. Bob worked at Abitibi Bowater, Thorold Division for over 30 years and was a member of Local 101. Bob was passionate for music and enjoyed playing guitar and keyboards. A special thank you to Dr. Bill Leung for his care and compassion and to certain staff members at Extendicare who were genuine and always treated Bob with respect and dignity. In accordance with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family invite friends to celebrate Bob†™s life at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Private interment will take place at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
