Dear husband to Delia, cherished father to Lori (Angelo) Mirabella and Oriana (David) Cecchi. Although of proud Italian decent, he credited Canada with the multiple successes he achieved. He believed his great accomplishment in life was his family and they regard him as their ultimate hero. Walter was a dedicated, skilled pattern maker at General Motors for 30 years. The family wishes to thank the staff at Linhaven for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Friday January 22, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers held at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Kidney Foundation or to Holy Cross in support of their children of Haiti mission would be appreciated by the family.
