Obituary of Rosa Biagi

Biagi, Rosa -Passed away, peacefully, on Friday January 8, 2010, at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe (1992). Loving mother of Maria DiFrancesco and her husband Danny. Predeceased by her son Mario (2006). Dear mother in law of Lucy. Cherished Nonna of 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Maria of Tuscany, Italy. Rosa will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Biagi was a member of St. Alfred's Church, She was the oldest female member of Club Roma and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Club Roma. She was floor lady in charge at Lincoln Canners for many years. The family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St Alfred's Church on Monday at 11 am. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3pm. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Hotel Dieu - Shaver Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to extend their heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of 2 west at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital for their outstanding care, patience and compassion, and Sister Louise for her spiritual support.
