Obituary of Pasquale Gentile

GENTILE, Pasquale - Passed away peacefully at Linhaven Home for the Aged on Tuesday January 5, 2010 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Eleonora for 63 years. Loving father of Marianne (Gaetano) DiPietro, Joseph (Matilda) and Frances (the late Vince) Lettieri. Cherished nonno of Joey (Michelle), Lori (Anthony) Heyes, David (Natalie) and Anthony. Great nonno of Madison, Anthony, Yvonne and soon to be born bambina. He will also be missed by his extended family and many friends. Pasquale was a dedicated member of St. Alfred's Church and belonged to Club Guardia Lombardi. A visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday January 7, 2010. Vigil prayers will be celebrated at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. A funeral liturgy will take place at St. Alfred's Church at 272 Vine Street St. Catharines at 1:00 p.m. on Friday January 8, 2010. If so desired, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
