Obituary of John Frederick Shepherd

Shepherd, John (Jack): On Sunday December 27, 2009 after a long courageous battle at Hospice Niagara in his 62 nd year. Beloved husband of Margaret. Loving father of Karen and Steven (Christina). Jack is survived by his father and step mother Fred and Lorriane, 3 sisters Eileen Shepherd, Laurie (Grant) Latendress, and Carol (Scott) Hardacre, brothers in law William (Bernadette) Plewman, Donald Plewman, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Eileen and brother William Shepherd. Jack was employed at Stelco for more than 34 years. Jack is resting at the Geegre Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visiting hours are Wednesday December 30, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., with cremation to follow, a Celebration of Jack's life will be held on Saturday January 2, 2010 at the Southridge Community Church at 11.a.m. Memorial remembrances made to Hospice Niagara or the A.L.S. Clinic at McMaster University would be appreciated by the family.
