Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Smiley

Smiley, Beth (nee: Eagles)Surrounded by her loving daughters, after a long and courageous battle, on Thursday December 24, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 71st year. Loving mother of Rochelle Smiley and Deborah Smiley (Mark Lemon). Cherished gamm to Brooke. She is survived by her siblings Joan (Pete) Thomas, Donny (Ann) Eagles, Norma (Joe ) Goller, Robbbin (Becky) Eagles, John (Donna) Eagles, Jane Eagles, Francis (Janet) Eagles, and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Beth was an avid Bingo player, and sports fan especially the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the palliative care unit, of the St. Catharines General Hospital, as well as Dr. Hartman, and Dr. Paolone for their care and compassion of our mom. Mrs. Smiley is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visitations are being held on Sunday December 27th 2009, from 7 - 9 p.m., Monday December 28, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Church, on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at 10 a.m. with cremation to follow. Memorial remembrances made to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
