Pidwinski, Anne (nee: Yaremchuk)Taken in to the arms of God on Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Anne Pidwinski, wife of Stanley, in her 81st year, dear mother of Christine, and her husband Bohdan Nebesny, of Stoney Creek, Nancy, and her husband Volodymyr Skotar, of Cayuga and Terry Pidwinski of Toronto. Beloved grandchildren Adrian and Michelle, Lisa and Dennis, Ivanna and great grandchildren Kathryne and Jordan. Dear sister in law of Delores Pidwinski and Jessie Yaremchuk. Predeceased by her brother Walter Yaremchuk. Anne's love of life, children grandchildren and great grandchildren will be missed. Anne was born in Winnipeg Manitoba, on May 3rd, 1929. She met and married Stanley Pidwinski, and they enjoyed 55 years together. Anne was a member of the Ukrainian Federation Hall for over 50 years and a member of their choir for over 30 years. She was a member of both Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church and St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was on the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian Credit Union. She had a typing business for Brock faculty and students for over 20 years. She began her community involvement at her parent's business, Joe's Snack bar, going on to legal firms and the political scene. She loved to travel the world. She was active in the Ukrainian Community as tradition was very important to her. Mrs. Pidwinski is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 9:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday at 8 p.m.
