Obituary of Estella Mary Opat

Opat, Stella (Stasia) Suddenly at her home on Sunday August 23, 2009, in her 59th year. Loving mother of Ordinary Seaman Robert Opat of the Canadian Navy and Jeannie Opat. She is survived by her mother Genia Krzywonos, brother John (Darylle-Anne) Krzywonos, sister Donna (Burt) Koiter, loving Cha Cha (Aunt) of Jerrad, Justin, Jason, Julia, Katie and Caleb. Predeceased by her father Rudolph Krzywonos. She will be sadly missed by her life long friend Helene Soltys, and her loving cat Bandit. A hardworking and dedicated employee for the past 21 years with the Personal Touch Cleaning Service. Stella is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visiting hours are Friday August 28, 2009 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Friday. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St. On Saturday August 29, 2009 at 10 a.m. with cremation to follow. Memorial remembrance made to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated by the family.
