Obituary of Mathew Robert Jonathan DiPoce

DI POCE, Mathew Robert Jonathan Suddenly at his university residence in Hamilton, on Friday July 31, 2009, in his 25th year. A cherished son to his forever adoring mother, Cynthia DiPoce (his †œbest bud†�) and his loving father Mario DiPoce and his wife Susan Albert. Mathew leaves behind the sad and tender heart of his sister Stephanie (his †œlittle bud†�), his brother Daniel (Jessica), and his brother Anthony. He was a proud and loving uncle to Hayden and Jackson; a most precious nephew to Aunt Roz, Uncle Larry, Aunt Berta, and Uncle Bill; a dear cousin to Roy, Eric, and Jane (Andrew). Mathew is survived by his Nonna, Viola DiPoce; his Uncle Lino, Aunt Edie and cousin Kristina DiPoce; his Uncle Fausto and cousins Victoria, Elizabeth, Philip and Diana DiPoce; his Uncle Saverio, Aunt Marisa, and cousins Maria Chiara and Claudio DiPoce and Laura Giannini. Mathew is predeceased by his †œGran†�, Helene Cooke (2003) and his Nonno, Antonio DiPoce (1993). Mathew will be remembered fondly by his many friends in St. Catharines and Hamilton.~ †œMat was someone that we all looked up to. He was the smartest friend I had.†� Mathew's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, August 5th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place on Thursday, August 6th in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Burial to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
