Obituary of Benito D'Orante

D'ORANTE, Benito - On Sunday July 26, 2009 in his 79th year Benito D'Orante slipped away peacefully on a sunny afternoon surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Franca, his daughters Maria (Jack) and Elena (Davidson) and son Rob. Cherished Nonno of Joey and Larissa. He is survived by his sister in law Angelina (the late Mike, 1999), nephews Mario (Mary) and Tony (Carla). He is also survived by his brother Contino and his children Tina and James. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of St. Catharines General Hospital for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Wednesday July 29, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church on Thursday July 30 2009 at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
