Obituary of Salvatore Montemarano

Montemarano, Salvatore - On Saturday July 25, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 83rd year with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Alessandra for 59 years. Sadly missed by his children Joe (Jenny) and Lucy Damiano (Angelo) of Woodbridge. Loving Nonno of Adriana (Steve), Dina (Joey), Sandrina (fiancee Patrick), and Ashley. Cherished Nipotini of Adam, Abby and Andrew. Will be fondly remembered by his sister Maria (Antonio) and many family members and close friends. The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel until Wednesday at 9:00am. Visiting hours are Monday 7-9pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3pm . Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, on Wednesday at 9:30am. Entombment will follow the church service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Catharines General Hospital - Walker Cancer Centre in memory of Salvatore.
