Obituary of Irena Wojtasik

WOJTASIK, Irena - With great sadness we announce the passing of Irena Wojtasik (nee Kaminski) at the age of 79. Irena passed away peacefully at the Woodlands of Sunset on Monday May 17, 2010. She has now joined her husband Stanley and her son Jerry and together they†™ll be dancing in heaven. Loving mother of Barbara (Sid) Nicholls, Yolanda Burke (Gerry Switzer) and Richard (Barbara) Wojtasik. Cherished Nana of Mark, Lori, Joey, Jerry, Katrina and Adrian and Babcia to Katelynn, Sam, Cassie, True, Stephanie, Tristan and Taneya. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Woodlands of Sunset, as well as her personal support workers Shirley, Siony, Beth, Karen and Daisy for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Wednesday May 19, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Oblate St., St. Catharines on Thursday May 20 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
