Obituary of Stephen Wallace Rourke

ROURKE, Stephen Wallace Suddenly in St. Catharines on Friday, May 7th in his 51st year. Dearly loved husband of Cindy and much loved father of Breanne (fiance Dave Brouwer) and Kendra. Beloved son of Wally and Lois Rourke, cherished brother of Janice (Brian) Smith, all of Simcoe, devoted grandson of Audrey Rourke of Ottawa, and brother in law of Rick (Susan) Hall and Laurie (Mark) Vella, all of Niagara Falls. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Stephen was the Director of Engineering at General Motors and an active and respected mentor for FIRST Robotics. He was also a longtime member of Lookout Point Golf Club. Stephen's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, May 11th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, May 12th in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Cremation will follow the service with a private family inurnment at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Make a Wish Foundation or the Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated by the family.
