Obituary of Sally Joanne Isobel Humphries

HUMPHRIES, Joanne Isobel (Sally) It is with great sadness and many precious memories, we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother Sally at the age of 74 with her family by her side on May 7, 2010. Loving wife of Robert for 55 years. Beloved mother of Susan, Cathy and John Hoadley, Jan, Stephen and Mia and James Annand. Dearest Gram of Nicholas and Tonya Giannakopoulos, Zachery, Lauren, Tyler and Isabella. Dearest sister of John and Gail Corney, and sister in law of Rod, Jim and Joyce of Georgia. She was kind and giving. A passionate golfer and longtime member of Beechwood Golf Club. She volunteered with many organizations, including the St. Catharines General Hospital Auxilliary. She will be sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Sally's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday, May 10th from 1-4pm and 6-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 316 Queenston Street on Tuesday, May 11th at 11am. Cremation will follow the service. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday at 3:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation or the Scleroderma Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of the ICU at the St. Catharines General Hospital.
